HI-POD X2 Goal Camera Captures Adidas Global Soccer Tournament USA Finals

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

HI-POD's X2 goal camera (25 foot unit) recorded video footage of the USA leg of the Adidas Global Soccer Tournament. HI-POD captured the championship game (Boys Under 14 division) as well as the championship game (Boys Under 16 division). The two games have been uploaded as quicktime streaming movies. Visit the hi-pod website and check out the great Adidas action, www.hi-pod.com.

Venice Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2006 -- Adidas picked Los Angeles as its only U.S. stop in its global +Challenge soccer tournament, where some of America's best youth soccer stars competed for a trip to the +Challenge global finals at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Berlin. HI-POD was there to capture it all.

On its way from stops in Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, the Adidas worldwide youth soccer tournament stopped in Los Angeles on February 25 and 26, pitting more than 30 teams against each other in a two-day tournament. Venice Beach was a perfect location. Now the challenge was to film it. HI-POD's new X2 GOAL CAMERA unit was up to the task.

The HI-POD X2 extends up to 25 feet. It provides a stadium-like shot without a stadium. The unit provides total touch control of pan, tilt, and zoom, as well as an eye level LCD monitor so that even a novice can operate the unit in less than 5 minutes. And now that the HI-POD X2 has introduced its patented spring-retraction handle mechanism, the system just got even easier to use.

The HI-POD X2 has also introduced a new dolly base that not only provides excellent stability but also makes for easy transport. The base is also cleverly designed so that it separates for easy packing in any size car trunk.

During the tournament, the HI-POD was strategically placed for the setting sun. With the sun behind the HI-POD X2, very little exposure problems occurred, which made for an easy shoot.

HI-POD has uploaded the boys under 14 finals match, and the boys under 16 finals match. Check them out on the HI-POD website.

The winning teams will now go on to represent the United States at the global finals in Berlin in July during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
