SQLsafe 3.0 and SQLSchedule 2.5 add SQL Server 2005 and 64 Bit Support to Microsoft SQL Server Management Tools

Latest Idera SQL Server management tools provide support for SQL 2005 and 64 bit editions of SQL Server. SQLsafe, Enterprise scale high-speed backup and compression solution and SQLschedule, Enterprise job management, now both provide support for SQL Server 2005 and 64 bit editions of SQL. Southampton, Hampshire, UK (PRWEB) March 2, 2006 -- SQLTools, the Master Distributor for Idera SQL Server Management Tools in the UK and EMEA, are pleased to announce the general availability of SQLsafe 3.0 and SQLschedule 2.5. These updated releases extend the products to add support for both SQL Server 2005 and 64 bit editions of Microsoft SQL Server.

SQL SCHEDULE:
SQLschedule is the Enterprise SQL Job Scheduling tool, which allows for Cross database scheduling and cross server job chaining. The Outlook style user interface allows for 'at a glance' views of all of your SQL Agent jobs, across your entire server estate.

SQLschedule 2.5 adds:
1) Improved, easy to use installation and set-up wizard

2) SQL Server 2005 Support:

  • Monitor SQL Server 2000 and 2005 instances
  • Install SQLschedule components, such as the SQLschedule databases, on a SQL Server 2005 instance

3) 64-bit Support
  • Monitor SQL Server instances running on 64-bit operating systems
  • X64 support
  • Itanuim 2 support

SQLsafe provides Enterprise scale backup, compression, encryption and restore capabilities to Microsoft SQL Server. 4) Extended Stored Procedures:
  • Two additional stored procedures that provide additional Verify and List capabilities.
