MosaicGlobe (www.mosaicglobe.com) successfully launched a unique site creation and hosting application in February. The service was specifically designed to publish and promote creative individuals and organizations and the early response has been overwhelmingly positive; a good indicator that they are doing something right.
(PRWEB) March 3, 2006 -- MosaicGlobe is a “Content Management System” designed specifically for the creative community. It is an online program that helps non-technical people and organizations publish their own website. The service has attracted hundreds of users since launching at the beginning of the February despite having done very little in the way of marketing. “Most of our users have been finding us by recommendation.” said company co-founder, Danny Vigil, “We certainly hope that people enjoy working with the application and continue to share those positive experiences with their friends and colleagues.”
Referred to as a ‘Creative Publishing System”, MosaicGlobe was developed with the creative user in mind. While developing the program, MosaicGlobe worked with artists and art organizations for testing and feedback to insure that the application would meet some very specific needs. “Most of our users had no experience with web page creation” said Vigil, “so we tried to make the process as intuitive as possible”.
The result is a robust program that makes it easy for a novice user to create and manage a professional website. Site page types include image galleries, blogs, links, media downloads and online forms. Sites are hosted by MosaicGlobe and include email accounts, visitor statistics and access to a growing number of professionally designed templates. For advanced users, the developers were also sure to build in access to the site’s HTML and CSS code for custom designs.
New Jersey Photographer, Wendy Erickson created her MosaicGlobe website to supplement the “professional” site she had hired a web developer to create. “I am not a web designer” explained Erickson, “I was frustrated by not being able to tweak the site myself, or make updates in a timely manner”. After using her new site for a couple of weeks she decided to take her business website, wazobirdstudio.com, over to MosaicGlobe completely and then created a second site for her personal work. “I have a link to Mosaic Globe on my sites so everyone else can make their own web page too! I can't tell you how many people I have already referred.”
According to their website, the MosaicGlobe mission is to provide powerful, easy to use, cost effective marketing tools to creative professionals and organizations and, to support the creative community by providing an online forum for all creative individuals to share their unique talents and/or educate others.
The company is on its way to making good on that statement; MosaicGlobe is providing free accounts to any individual and organization that would like to showcase their creativity. They also have a non-profit program that offers full featured sites available to art related nonprofits organizations free of charge. Program operating expenses are offset by paid accounts that are available for $9 and $14 per month and include increased storage space, no page limits or ads, email accounts and detailed visitor statistics.
