Entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, consultants and others can reap the significant benefits of being known as an expert by attending a new one-day workshop on the topic.

Fairport, NY (PRWEB) March 7, 2006 -- “How to Become an Expert” will be presented on March 22, 2006, at the Lodge at Woodcliff, 199 Woodcliff Dr., Fairport, N.Y. (Rochester area) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Workshop participants will receive detailed instruction on the planning, tools, tactics, and resources needed to become a highly-regarded expert at the local, regional, or national level. Registration is limited to eight people; the registration fee is $495.

The workshop is presented by nationally-known speaker and author Sandra Beckwith, author of Streetwise Complete Publicity Plans: How to Create Publicity That Will Spark Media Exposure and Excitement. The one-of-a-kind program will help participants gain a significant business advantage by becoming known and trusted as experts.

It’s not enough to be very good at what you do or to know more than your competitors
“It’s not enough to be very good at what you do or to know more than your competitors,” says Beckwith. “You need to let people know about your expertise. This workshop is designed to help business people develop and showcase their high level of knowledge so it is recognized and valued by customers and prospects.”

In addition to the course instruction, registration includes a copy of Beckwith’s book, Streetwise Complete Publicity Plans: How to Create Publicity That Will Spark Media Exposure and Excitement; a proprietary binder of workshop materials; lunch; and a one-hour follow-up consultation.

Beckwith is a national award-winning former publicist who now shares her secrets with business owners and others. In addition to authoring Streetwise Complete Publicity Plans, she is the author of Publicity for Nonprofits: Generating Media Exposure That Leads to Awareness, Growth, and Contributions (Kaplan Publishing, June 2006) and the popular humor book, WHY CAN’T A MAN BE MORE LIKE A WOMAN? She is sought out for her expertise by national TV talk shows and countless print and broadcast media outlets coast-to-coast, including USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Chicago Tribune. She owns Beckwith Communications in Fairport, N.Y.
