In addition, the company’s best-selling technical authors, Eric Clayberg, senior vice president product development, and Dan Rubel, CTO, will be making two presentations during the show, as well as signing copies of the just released second edition of their popular book, “Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-Ins.”

Instantiations will be demonstrating how its new product will put Java client-applications back on the desktop by allowing developers to build rich applications faster and more consistently. In addition, Instantiations will be participating in the following activities:

March 20 (Mon.) 1:30-5:00 p.m.
Building Commercial-Quality Eclipse Plug-Ins
Eric Clayberg & Dan Rubel will present a definitive tutorial in Ballroom E. In this overview of building commercial-quality extensions for Eclipse RCP, the instructors don’t merely introduce the basics; they show how to add the sophistication and “polish” that end users demand. The presentation is based upon their best-selling book, “Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-ins” (Addison-Wesley).

Eric Clayberg & Dan Rubel will be signing their copies of “Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-ins” in the conference bookstore.

March 23 (Thurs.) 10:45-11:30 a.m.
Overview of RCP GUI Building Tools for Eclipse
Eric Clayberg & Dan Rubel will present in convention center rooms 203 and 204. The 45 min. presentation explains how Eclipse users can create next generation applications using leading edge GUI building products with SWT and RCP. Attendees will learn the basics of the GUI development tools available for Eclipse and the specific features each offers for creating RCP applications.
