Mowave Brings Action Sports Media on Board for Global Wireless

Mowave and Action Sports Media (ASM) are aiming for “max air” under a new agreement to bring ASM’s extreme sports publications, Onboard, Surf Europe, Kingpin and Cooler, to mobile worldwide Mowave, leading European provider of branded on-portal and direct-to-consumer mobile entertainment services, plans to create comprehensive mobile destinations for each of ASM’s extreme sports publications. These will consist of news and editorial content, weather reports, ringtones and audio, images, video, and community features such as user-generated multimedia content channels and Mowave’s innovative new flogging (flirtatious blogging) platform.

In addition to offering the full range of mobile services, the companies plan to integrate mobile deeply into the print and online editions of each magazine. Mobile links throughout each publication will give readers access to expanded editorial content, downloadables and additional advertiser information. Readers will also be able to make instant purchases of advertised goods and services via mobile.

Giles Richter, CEO of Mowave, said the company is extremely excited about the chance to bring Action Sports Media to mobile.

The companies plan to launch services on operator portals across Europe and to establish multilingual destinations on the open wireless internet.
