Tickets now on sale for Chicago’s preeminent green building celebration. On Saturday, May 13, 2006 the Chicago Chapter of the US Green Building Council will present it's Second Biennial Emerald Gala at the John G. Shedd Aquarium saluting the leaders in the area's green building movement. Tickets are $100 for USGBC-Chicago members and $150 for the public.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 17, 2006 -- Tickets are now on sale for the celebration of the most prominent professionals in the sustainable materials building industry in Chicago. On Saturday, May 13, 2006, the Chicago Chapter of the US Green Building Council will present its Second Biennial Emerald Gala at the John G. Shedd Aquarium. Angela Leontis, 2006 Emerald Gala co-chair and one of the founding organizers of the Inaugural gala anticipates attendance by approximately 600 professionals. Leontis notes that this event will “celebrate the achievements and successes in the green building industry.” This is one of the most unique events in the industry in that it brings together a diverse cross section of individuals including architects, engineers, consultants, products manufacturers, financial, and the energy sectors. Leontis adds that having such an assorted gathering of professionals together for an evening is incredible impetus in the green building movement for, “It inspires more work! It energizes people!”
The creative black-tie event begins with cocktails in the Ocenarium, followed by the awards presentation featuring the Natural Leaders Awards which recognizes the top leaders in green building and development in the Chicago area. Guests will then move into the Aquarium for a formal dinner featuring organic cuisine and dancing.
