Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 15, 2006 -- Associated Cities, the world’s largest association of city names on the Internet, announced today that owners of geographic domain names will gather in Chicago on June 2 and 3 at the 2006 GeoDomain Expo.

The GeoDomain Expo will take place at Chicago's Hyatt Regency Hotel. Confirmed participants include NewYorkCity.com, LosAngeles.com, Chicago.com, Richmond.com, Dallas.com, SanFrancisco.com, Nashville.com, SanDiego.com, Houston.com, PalmSprings.com and Atlanta.com as well as international leaders of the GeoDomain industry such as Acapulco.com, Barcelona.com, Toronto.com, Vancouver.com and BuenosAires.com.

“The 2006 GeoDomain Expo will be a watershed event in an industry that will play a role in the evolution of local media,” said Dan Pulcrano, chairman of Associated Cities. “GeoDomains are some of the most sought-after properties on the Internet. The individual sites have organized to become something bigger than the sum of their parts.”

Associated Cities represents 90 percent of the top 25 direct marketing areas of the U.S. and many large international cities. The network reaches 6 million unique monthly visitors and delivers more than 60 million monthly impressions.

The 2006 GeoDomain Expo will offer industry analysis from Gordon Borrell of Borrell & Associates as well as reports from GeoDomain owners, interactive advertising agencies and convention and visitor bureaus.

“GeoDomains are in the right place at the right time and their future looks very bright,” said Borrell, who is an interactive media pioneer as well as the past president of the Newspaper Association of America’s New Media Federation. Borrell will also be the keynote speaker for the 2006 GeoDomain Expo.

Admission to the 2006 GeoDomain Expo for non-members is $595 and $395 for members. Networking and commerce opportunities will be available to directly reach the epicenter of this elite demographic of Internet and media publishers. Corporate sponsorship opportunities begin at $1,795.
