Top 15 Ringtone Sites Revealed

The Top 15 Ringtone Sites in the United States are Named, as reviewed by Top Ten Reviews.

New York (PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- Advanced Telecom Services placed two of its ringtone sites on Top Ten Reviews (www.toptenreviews.com) review of the nation’s top ringtone sites. MonsterTones (www.monstertones.com) and Ringingphone (www.ringingphone.com), were both listed among the nation’s Top Ringtone Sites according to the online ratings service.

Both Ringingphone and MonsterTones received top ratings for “Ease of Use” scoring a perfect four out of four rating. The sites also scored 3 ½ out of 4 in “Features” and “Selection of Ringtones.”

“There are a lot of good ringtone sites out there and I’m pleased to see that we were recognized for providing a no nonsense approach to ringtones since 2001,” said Bob Bentz, marketing manager for MonsterTones. “We spend a lot of time on ringtone content so I was pleased to see we scored so well there.”

Industry analysts project the national ringtone market size to be $600 million and still growing. Just two years ago, the US ringtone market was a mere $75 million. Billboard Magazine (www.billboard.com ) sees the market as being so significant that it now ranks the Top 40 ringtones each week. “Grillz” by Nelly featuring Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp ranks number one on the Billboard ringtone charts this week.

Part of the reason for the continued growth of ringtones has been the profound improvements to the technology. What was once a business of monophonic ringtones that sounded like playing the piano with one finger soon evolved into a business of polyphonic ringtones that sound like an orchestra playing the song. Today, MP3 ringtones, also known as realtones, dominate the industry as more cell phones have the capability of adding actual vocals to their ringers.
