Production invites fans, media and industry to follow from script to screen.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2006 -- Antonio Z. Barajas’ supernatural thriller, “The Duel”, has launched a MYSPACE account, http://www.myspace.com/starvoyagerentertainment, inviting all fans, media and industry insiders to join their community and follow the path of the production. “We intend on keeping as updated a blog as we can”, said Barajas from his home in Dallas, Texas, where filming is scheduled to begin in late April (2006). “Filmmaking is such an involved process, we thought we would share our trials and triumphs with those who are interested, it may save time for other filmmakers if they can learn from our experiences.”
This past week Barajas formally announced his casting choices for his two lead actors. “We took great care in the casting process and have found two individuals we feel are ideal for this project. Beyond their talent, they bring passion and are literally breathing life into their characters”.
“Steven Man (www.stevenman.net) will play the lead, Blake Lance, our reluctant hero. He’s a good man living the American Dream one day and is facing Death with nothing but faith on his side, the next.” Through a brilliantly crafted script the audience finds a sense of commonality with Blake, his wife Anne (played by Alexandra Townsend www.AlexandraTownsend.com) and the struggle to stay united despite every possible hardship cast against them and their family. “These are struggles many of us face every day,” echoed both Man and Townsend, “though they may be packaged in different ways. We, as humanity, are all part of their characters, we have all been through difficult times, it is something we can all relate to.” It is this shared experience that Barajas strived to attain in penning the script, “I wanted to create a film that people could connect with and hopefully, gain inspiration from.”[Barajas]
Casting for the pivotal supporting leads and cameos continues this week with offers out to a handful of top Hollywood box office names. The production will release a statement upon the closing of contractual negotiations.
