Nebraska Business Owner Receives Glass Professional Of-The-Year Award

Independent Nebraska glass shop owner, Mark Rizzi of Alliance Nebraska receives Independent Glass Association’s Glass Professional Of-The-Year award.

Clay Center, NE (PRWEB) March 29, 2006 -- Independent Nebraska glass shop owner, Mark Rizzi of Alliance Nebraska was the recipient the Independent Glass Association’s Glass Professional Of-The-Year award. Rizzi’s long-standing service to the glass industry has set standards of excellence for consumer safety and replacement quality. The association also cited the recipient’s tireless efforts to improve the auto glass industry and his willingness to share his expertise with other glass industry professionals.

In addition to a fierce commitment to the industry, Rizzi has distinguished himself by developing and conducting a number of national glass seminars and authoring numerous articles for industry trade publications including a cover story published in Auto Glass magazine. Rizzi was also a consultant to ABC's 20/20 for a national exposé on improper auto glass installation. The recipient has also conducted a meticulous, long-term examination of Nebraska glass installation practices.

Rizzi has been actively involved in benchmarking national standards for windshield installation including the ANSI-AGRSS standard, which will improve quality and safety of all automotive glass installations.

Rizzi has become a respected industry analyst in matters of automotive glass as well as collision industry issues. This was the second time Rizzi was honored by the IGA. In 2001, he was recognized as an industry ‘Point of Light’ and in 2002 he received IGAs National Special Achievement award. The Nebraska Autobody Association, in 2005, recognized Rizzi for his research and accomplishments including legislative insights and actions.

Realizing the importance of legislative action, Rizzi has worked to strengthen consumer protection laws in Nebraska and in other states, and is an advocate of consumer choice, that allows claimants to select their own repair facility.

The Nebraska Autobody Association is comprised of Nebraska collision repair professionals and allied industries. The Nebraska Autobody Association promotes professionalism in the art of collision repair including standards and ethics that treat the insurer and policyholder in a fair, honest and ethical manner.
