Staunton, VA (PRWEB) March 22, 2006 -- Blue Moon Galleries Co-President Stacey Strawn Evans was awarded the 2005 Entrepreneur Spirit Award for Entrepreneur of the Year by The Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce in Augusta County, Virginia. The award recognizes the achievements of business leaders in Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, Virginia that have exhibited exemplary entrepreneurial creativity and spirit. It is one of eight awards presented annually by the Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce, which boasts an enrollment of nearly 1000 member businesses.
Ms. Evans was chosen from a pool of nominees and awarded the honor by a committee of her peers. "This is a truly humbling experience," says Ms. Evans, "There are so many talented business people in Augusta County and Waynesboro, many of whom have helped Blue Moon Galleries with their expertise and experience. It is an unbelievable honor to be chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year amongst such a distinguished group." Chamber President Neysa Simmers cited Blue Moon Galleries' continued connection with Hollywood celebrities as one reason for the honor. Silver Gallery, one of Blue Moon Galleries' family of web sites, was named as the Official Picture Frame Provider for the 12th Annual SAG Awards this year. The Screen Actors' Guild Awards asked Silver Gallery to provide engraved picture frames to every actor and actress photographed during the special moment when they received their Screen Actors’ Guild award. In a televised post-award show, E! News host Giuliana DePandi showcased Silver Gallery’s frames while celebrating the actors who received them.
The Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit association of businesses and organizations of all types and sizes, not affiliated with government, working together for continuous improvement of the economic environment and the quality of life by promoting the viability of business.
