TKMaxx Gives You a Reason for Spring Cleaning Your Wardrobe This Year

This year with the launch of GiveGet, the collaboration between TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK, there may be an extra incentive to clean out your wardrobe.

(PRWEB) April 1, 2006 -- Cleaning out the wardrobe, sorting out the kitchen cupboards, clearing the trash from the garage or shed – it’s not generally something to look forward to. Perhaps what is required is an extra push or incentive to make the tradition of the spring clean feel a little less than a chore. Well, spring cleaning has never been quite so important as this year with the launch of GiveGet, the charity clothing collection campaign that marks the biannual collaboration between TK Maxx ( http://www.tkmaxx.com ) and Cancer Research UK ( http://www.cancerresearchuk.org ) that is aiming to raise £2 million to help more people survive cancer.

GiveGet ( http://www.tkmaxx.com/giveget.asp ) is based on a simple concept – sort it, bag it, drop it. Just sort out your unwanted, quality goods from clothing to DVD’s and CD’s and pop them in one of the GiveGet bags available from TK Maxx stores nationwide and simply return your bag to any TK Maxx or Cancer Research UK shop. To find your nearest TK Maxx store, simply visit (http://www.tkmaxx.com/giveget/giveget_find.asp ). If you can’t get hold of a GiveGet campaign bag – just use any plastic bag. A full bag can be worth as much as £30 to Cancer Research UK – now that’s an incentive to do the spring cleaning and de-clutter your wardrobe, drawers and cupboards.

GiveGet will be running from Saturday March 18th until Sunday 2nd April and gives you an ideal reason to de-clutter and get rid of your unwanted goods whilst raising money for charity. GiveGet aims to attract quality goods for resale in cancer Research shops, so please be selective about what you drop off. It will all be worth it though – the space you create in the wardrobe gives you the perfect excuse to fill it with new clothes from the latest seasons’ collections.

GiveGet only comes round once every two years and the latest collaboration between Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx is aiming to beat all previous donation targets this year, with the £2 million mark in their sights this year. It’s an achievable target with you help – so spread the word about GiveGet and get down to your local TK Maxx or cancer Research UK store with your unwanted quality goods.
