“Everyone always says that we’re too showy. We think that’s hilarious. I mean, you come to a show to see a show, yet we’re too showy...hypocrisy my friends,” observes Jeff Scott, one half of the self-proclaimed ‘electrohardcore hip-hop pop-trash trainwreck.’
Philippe Andreas, the yin to Scott’s yang, adds, “If they thought that our last band (The Surgery) was showy, then Jesus Christ, they’re in for an awakening.”
Arising from the ashes of such bands as The Get Down, Last Day Massacre, Modern Makeup, and most recently, The Surgery, these 2 bright-eyed youngsters have arrived to set the mood at the party, and to crash it soon thereafter. “I don’t know about you, but I go to a show to have fun. It’s all about fun, man,” says Scott. “The cheese parts are what make it entertaining.”
When asked about their influences, the duo cites a highly eclectic mix of performers. “We take from everything from Botch, The Blood Brothers, Ghengis Tron, The Postal Service, Cutlery, and Head Automatica to Britney Spears, Three 6 Mafia, Linkin Park, and H.I.M. We do it all man.” explains Scott.
The Drugstore Cowboys are ready to take over every city in the world, and they want you to be a part of it. “We want sing-a-longs, hugs, and hand-holding at every show.” Andreas notes. “We want you to feel every note that we play from start to finish, and we never let up. It’s all about shaking your ass.”
