Albuquerque, New Mexico poet, and UNM student, releases book of poems that aims to showcase the physical and emotional migrations of city-life from the perspective of the city. The book, "Per-City Poems", is intended to be the first in a line of new poetry books featuring New Mexico poets, to be edited and presented by the author's NM Poetry Tangents workshop and coalition.

Per-City Poems is a collection of poems, written in a style the author refers to as photo-realistic verse, that presents the movements and affective details of the lives of individuals dwelling in a fictional City, while leaving the reader the freedom to envision both the nature of the city, and the number of individuals who people it. In this way, the author allows the reader to personalize the work, while reading it from varying perspectives. This cycle of poems moves like ultra-violet light to expose the raw nature of city life.
Zachary Kluckman, who also runs the growing NM Poetry Tangents workshop and poetry coalition (http://www.nmpoetrytangents.com), wrote Per-City Poems to move beyond the boundaries of typical persona poetry, hoping to capture the experiences and attitudes of “big cities” in a way that has not been explored very often. It is the author's intent to begin publishing poetry collections and anthologies featuring New Mexico poets, in an ongoing effort to bring local talent into the light.
