Intermedia.NET Counters IBM Offer

Leader in Microsoft Exchange hosting will offer $20 bounty to each company switching from Lotus to hosted Exchange. Offer counters similar IBM bid to attract Exchange customers.

New York (PRWEB) April 4, 2006 –- Intermedia.NET, the US leader in hosted Microsoft Exchange for small and medium businesses, launched a counter-offer following IBM Corporation’s offer of a bounty for users migrating its Lotus software platform. Where IBM offered $20 per seat, up to a maximum of 1000 seats, for migrations from Microsoft Exchange to Lotus Domino, Intermedia.NET will offer a flat $20 per company migrating from Lotus to Intermedia.NET’s hosted Exchange service.

Although the offer is lower than IBM’s, Intermedia.NET believes that it is still more attractive, given the superior technology and user-friendliness of Microsoft Outlook and Exchange. Overwhelmingly preferred by businesses for corporate email and collaboration, Microsoft Exchange has grown to lead the market -- with over 50% -- while Lotus Domino has declined in share.

“Given the inherent attractiveness of Exchange and Outlook, we very frequently migrate Lotus customers over to our hosted Exchange service,” said Michael Choupak, CEO of Intermedia.NET. “So while we have no need to offer financial incentives to migrate customers, we wanted to make a symbolic offer of $20 as a token to welcome Lotus users upgrading to Microsoft Exchange.”

Customers migrating from Lotus to Intermedia.NET’s Exchange hosting service should call sales at 1-800-379-7729 and reference the ‘Lotus migration $20 offer’. Our advanced support team will be available to assist with migration of your company email account from Lotus after sign-up.

In the hosting business since 1995 and hosting Microsoft Exchange since 2000, Intermedia.NET offered the first Exchange hosting solution specifically for small and medium businesses -- enterprise-strength technology as a service for a low monthly fee, with no up-front investment.

Companies looking for hosted Exchange or Web site hosting services know that Intermedia.NET will provide the utmost in support, as well as technical knowledge of the highest level.

The company offers a wide variety of Exchange hosting and Web hosting plans, from the smallest businesses with three users and upwards, to substantial mid-sized organizations. Intermedia.NET hosted Exchange plans start at $9.95 per month for each user. For further details on our hosted Exchange offerings, please visit http://www.intermedia.net/exchange-hosting.
