When it's time to work, they dive into their characters with total abandon to self ego, then, when off camera, they know how to bring the party on. The crew loved being around those two all day long. The director net Malin Akerman when she was flown out by Disney to screen test for Rob Schneider's, "The Hot Chick". The role went to Rachel McAdams but John stayed in touch with Malin knowing he would eventually cast her as the affected sorrity snob Tanci, in "The Utopian Society", once it got financed.
