Andrew Levander to Join ECHO MALIBU Youth Treatment Center

Echo Malibu Youth Treatment Center announced today that Andrew Levander will be joining their treatment team as the Director of Outpatient Services.

Malibu, CA (PRWEB) April 25, 2006 -- Andrew Levander to join ECHO MALIBU Youth Treatment Center.

Echo Malibu Youth Treatment Center announced today that Andrew Levander will be joining their treatment team as the Director of Outpatient Services.

We are delighted to have someone of Andrew’s caliber at the helm of our outpatient program. We know that under his guidance youth and families can anticipate the high quality of service provision that both he and ECHO are known for.
Levander, who is widely, recognized as one of the Nations foremost authorities on self-Injury has been featured on such shows as Dr. Phil, NBC News Special with Colleen Williams and The John Walsh Show. He has also been featured in a cover story for STEPS For Recovery Magazine and the Los Angeles Times. In addition, Andrew’s work was the subject of a one-hour special on the Discovery Channel.

Levander who is a Marriage and Family Therapist, Master Addictions Counselor and Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist has more than 10 years of experience working with youth and families. He is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, American Counseling Association, American Institute of Bereavement, A National Board of Addiction Examiners (Western States Exam Proctor) and a Board Member of the California Board of Addiction Examiners.

He is also the Clinical Director and founder of Healing House, one of two programs in the nation designed exclusively to meet the special needs of adolescents who struggle with self-injury. As a result of his work he was the recipient of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Service Innovations Festival Award for enhancing treatment quality through program innovation
