Ace Ticket Goes Ape and Acquires Important Piece of Boston Red Sox Sports History

Ace Ticket, a Boston-based leader in the ticket brokering industry, recently announced their purchase of the Gorilla Suit worn by then former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein when he used it to slip by the fanatic Boston press following the announcement of his resignation.

Brookline, Mass. (PRWEB) April 22, 2006 -- Ace Ticket, a Boston-based leader in the ticket brokering industry, recently announced their purchase of the Gorilla Suit worn by then former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein when he used it to slip by the fanatic Boston press following the announcement of his resignation.

The now infamous gorilla suit was originally auctioned off by Peter Gammons and Theo Epstein during this year's Hot Stove Cool Music Auction & Concert. Ace Ticket's President, James Holzman, was in attendance that night and after several rounds of intense bidding Holzman won the auction and became the proud owner of Theo's suit at a final cost of $11,000. When asked why he spent so much for the suit James replied, "I guess I really got caught up in the moment. I wasn't expecting to spend that much, but the money does go to charity, so it's really a win/win situation."

The Gorilla Suit is currently displayed in the window of Ace Ticket's Brookline office, located at 139 Cypress Street at the corner of Route 9. The suit itself has made several TV appearances since the auction. James and the suit have appeared on Boston's Fox 25 Morning show and on ESPN's Morning Show, Cold Pizza on 1/20/06. Ace Tickets hopes the suit can still be used to raise money for charity and are open to any ideas, questions or comments please contact Ace Ticket.
