Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 22, 2006 -- ZG Aerospace (formerly ZeroG Aerospace) today announced that payload space is still available for consumers to send small personal items to space this July, when the first-ever commercial rocket is launched at the new Southwest Regional Spaceport in New Mexico. Work at the New Mexico Spaceport is well underway, with concrete poured and the launch pad being put into place in preparation for the first launch. ZGS-1 will blast into space on a high performance sub-orbital rocket developed by UP Aerospace, Inc. (www.upaerospace.com), the world’s only private company with a fleet of space-flying rockets. The rocket will reach space in 90 seconds, and will remain weightless for several minutes while consumer items are carried in a sealed chamber to protect them from the extreme heat and cold experienced during the flight.
