ZeroG is making the dream of consumer space exploration possible through this unprecedented payload, called ZGS-1, which will be carried on the first rocket launched at the new Spaceport. Through the company’s website at www.zerog-space.com, consumers can enter the space frontier by sending a small personalized item into orbit.

Seattle, WA (PRWEB) April 22, 2006 -- ZG Aerospace (formerly ZeroG Aerospace) today announced that payload space is still available for consumers to send small personal items to space this July, when the first-ever commercial rocket is launched at the new Southwest Regional Spaceport in New Mexico. Through the ZG Aerospace website at www.zgspace.com, consumers can finally participate in space exploration on the ZGS-1 unprecedented payload for as little as $49.95.

“In addition to sending business cards, photographs, rings or even ashes, we offer a number of special space promotions on our website, including his and hers titanium space rings, travel packages to witness this first launch in New Mexico, and curriculum that enables K-12 level scientific experiments while in space,” said Tom Gonser, ZG Aerospace co-founder. “After the inaugural flight (the exact date of which has not yet been announced), items will be returned with a Certified Space Seal to authenticate their space travel, and owners will be entered in the International Space Registry to memorialize their personal access to space,” he added.

Work at the New Mexico Spaceport is well underway, with concrete poured and the launch pad being put into place in preparation for the first launch. ZGS-1 will blast into space on a high performance sub-orbital rocket developed by UP Aerospace, Inc. (www.upaerospace.com), the world’s only private company with a fleet of space-flying rockets. The rocket will reach space in 90 seconds, and will remain weightless for several minutes while consumer items are carried in a sealed chamber to protect them from the extreme heat and cold experienced during the flight.
