DogExplorer.com announces start of "World's Best Flying Disc Dog Picture Contest." The website's contest offers free entry, great prizes and fun. Entrants are invited from around the world in this first truly global flying disc dog photo competition designed to highlight the athleticism, bonding and beauty of the flying disc dog sport.

Ventura County, CA (PRWEB) April 21, 2006 -- DogExplorer.com is pleased to announce the "World's Best Flying Disc Dog Picture Contest," the third in an ongoing series of fun and friendly global dog and puppy photo competitions at www.DogExplorer.com

The contest is sponsored in part by the innovative new website wikiFido.com, The Dog Lover's Guide to Dogs (www.wikiFido.com).

The focus of the competition is to capture and share amazing images of dogs leaping, twisting and soaring through the air as they demonstrate their uniquely canine athletic gifts. The dog pictures may be taken at any time, but they must belong to, and be the copyrighted property of, the person entering them in the contest. Action shots are preferred, but beautiful portraits of dog and some variety of flying disc together, either at rest, or in motion, are all that is required.

World's Best Flying Disc Dog Picture Contest.
Entering the contest, registering on the site, viewing and voting on the picture entrants are all completely free. Prior challenges conducted by DogExplorer.com include the search for the World's Ugliest Dog and "Best Holiday Dog Picture" competitions.

The winner of the current contest, selected by votes entered by registered users of DogExplorer.com, gets a $100.00 gift certificate for pet supplies, the new training DVD and chicken liver treats from renowned dog expert Tamar Geller ( www.theloveddog.com ), and a "zoing™" interactive tug-of-war toy from sponsor Ruff Wear, For Dogs On The Go® (www.ruffwear.com).

The contest is open to entrants from all countries and voting runs from April 21, 2006, through June 18, 2006. Complete contest rules are posted on DogExplorer.com (http://www.DogExplorer.com).

Another exciting development at DogExplorer.com is the rollout of the new dog podcast series. The first dog training expert interview features an exclusive, long-form conversation with renowned dog expert, Tamar Geller. Also new are dog podcasts offering the first person vantage point of dog lovers everywhere in the personal essay series "Dog Tales."
