ParentSight Launches a New Website to Support the Ever-Changing Needs of Parents

ParentSight (www.parentsight.com) sets out to create an environment aimed at enriching the lives of parents through the offering of unique content, community applications and tools, and interactive features.

Brentwood, Tennessee (PRWEB) April 24, 2006 -- ParentSight proudly announces the launch of ParentSight.com – an online community focusing on the needs of parents and soon-to-be parents. With unique content, community applications, and useful tools, it set out to help parents find the answers to their questions. ParentSight’s goal is to provide parents from all over the world a place that brings everything they need to a single place.

ParentSight.com is the brainchild of ParentSight founder Noel Pennington, an IT professional and dedicated father of two young daughters. Like many parents, Noel was always trying to find fun things for his children to do around the area, places to read interesting articles and chat with other parents that understand some of the things parents are going through. As Noel recalls, “When I searched the web for parenting information most of the things I saw were either very dated or didn’t answer my questions. Parents are looking for many of the same things; a place to learn, guide, and inform them on how to make better choices. This idea drove the creation of ParentSight, a site that would help parents to find topics relevant to their situation and facilitate discussion with other parents.”

ParentSight is designed to provide a simple-to-use interface to allow parents a simple place to post messages, chat or read articles about parenting with all the parent driven content you could need. Some of the features we’ve already incorporated include:

  • Classified ePages – A classified section that helps bring the right buyers and sellers together.
  • ParentSight Forum – An online discussion group, where parents with common interests can exchange open messages about parenting.
  • Parent’s Blog (web logs) – Parents will be able to start discussions and post responses on a variety of family-related topics

Other enhancements are on the way including the formation of the ParentSight Council, which will allow members to have a voice in the direction of the website, and a Yellow Pages section for parent-related goods and services.
Built on top of Joomla’s award-winning Open Source Content Management System (www.joomla.org), ParentSight will have access to many new features and function from Joomla’s active community of more than 26,000 friendly users and developers.
