Marketing communications expert Scott G (recording artist The G-Man) is sending tracks of the opening song on his new MOTION POTION album to the Audio Recording Technology Institute for students to use in advanced course mixing sessions.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 1, 2006 -- Continuing the innovative collaboration between recording artist and audio students begun last year, Scott G of G-Man Marketing (www.gmanmarketing.com) is making the first song on his MOTION POTION album available to students at the Audio Recording Technology Institute (A.R.T.I.).

"They can create a new mix or remix, change or add parts, and just completely alter it sonically," stated G, who releases albums under the name The G-Man.

I was proud to be the first artist in this project last year, and I hope this convinces other artists to participate.
"This provides students a real-world mixing experience," states Britt Sandusky of A.R.T.I. (www.audiocareer.com). The Mix Fix Project was the brainchild of Sandusky, who seeks tracks from signed artists. "It was exciting to begin this program with a sonic innovator like The G-Man," Sandusky said.

"This is one of the country's most respected audio schools," G stated. "I was proud to be the first artist in this project last year, and I hope this convinces other artists to participate."

Noting that some artists are fearful of letting students touch their mixes, G-Man challenges them "to have the guts to hand over some tracks. These students are tomorrow's producers, engineers, remixers and music supervisors. These are the people we'll be reading about in Mix, EQ, Tape-Op, Electronic Musician, and Pro Sound News."

Scott G is owner of G-Man Marketing in Los Angeles, where he consults on advertising, marketing, and sonic branding.

G-Man Marketing has produced broadcast advertising for Verizon Wireless, Goodrich, The Auto Club, DIRECTV, Micron, Legoland, General Dynamics NASSCO and many others. Scott writes about marketing for the Advertising Industry Newswire.

Audio Recording Technology Institute, the first audio school in America to feature the THX certified Mix Theater, offers small classes, a staff of industry professionals, and extensive hands-on training on advanced equipment, including SSL digital, SSL classic, Digidesign, Apple G5, Soundtracs, Mackie and more. The school has facilities in New York and Florida, with 14 studios in the Orlando location.

A member of The Recording Academy (www.grammy.com), The G-Man has 5 albums on Delvian Records, with his music on iTunes and Rhapsody.
