Free Seminar Explores “Ins & Outs of Franchise Ownership"

Outsourcing, layoffs, and rising home equity, have increased the popularity of franchises. This free seminar explores a variety of questions regarding franchising. Why buy a franchise? How do I evaluate franchise choices? What are the fastest growing franchise systems? What financial assistance is available?

(PRWEB) May 4, 2006 -- If you’ve ever thought of exploring the possibility of owning your own business, attend a presentation which explores the “Ins & Outs of Franchise Ownership". The seminar date and location is Saturday May 20th, 10 a.m. to noon, Newton, MA, at the Marriott Hotel.

Franchising more than ever before, has an unprecedented opportunity to make a major positive impact on New England’s future economy. The recent study conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers on behalf of the International Franchise Association (IFA) found that in New England over 750,000 jobs are a result of franchising, the total output is over 70 Billion dollars a year, and there are over 32,000 franchise establishments in the six New England States that comprise 40% of all retail sales.

There are more than 2,500 franchise businesses to choose from in the US, priced as low as $25,000 to more than $1 Million.

“Franchising is not for everyone,” says Coen, President of Franchise Perfection, sponsors of the event. He added, “While franchising is a safer and faster way to start a business, no one should invest in a franchise without doing their homework. This seminar is a good first step in that research process.”

The free workshop will explore a variety of questions. Why buy a franchise? How do I evaluate franchise choices? Is a franchise a better investment than starting your own business? Which franchise fits my skills and lifestyle? How much money do I need?
What financial assistance is available? How soon can I get my business started? Do I need experience in a particular industry to run a franchise?

In addition to an overview of franchising, several franchises will be showcased, including Big Picture Framing, Personal Training Institute, MaidPro, Ronzio Pizza and New England Hot Dog Company.
