Professional Services Web Sites Benchmarked in New Internet Study

According to the Internet Standards Assessment Report (ISAR) released by the Web Marketing Association, after a disappointing early performance, professional services Web site have generally been in line with overall Web standards of excellence. They typically slightly under perform the 3-year criteria averages.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 4, 2006 -- According to the Internet Standards Assessment Report (ISAR) released by the Web Marketing Association, after a disappointing early performance, professional services Web site have generally been in line with overall Web standards of excellence. They typically slightly under perform the 3-year criteria averages. The ISAR study provides industry benchmarks for Web site development and is based on data collected from 9,748 Web site evaluations in more than 80 industries over the past decade. “Content Professional services Web sites support a wide range of professionals – doctors, lawyers, accountants, architects, and others that provide services to individuals and institutions,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. “Web sites are a critical marketing tool for professional services practices to reach out and reinforce messages and brand to their clients. It offers a way for firms to stand out from their peers in a crowded marketplace.”

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association has been conducting its annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. The Internet Standards Assessment Report is the results of nearly a decade of independent evaluations of Web site development based on seven categories: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.
