Actor Peter Weller of Fox’s hit TV Show “24” and the blockbuster movie “Robocop” has decided to name a street in his new Costa Rican neighborhood after his mother.

Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) May 7, 2006 -- Happy Mother’s Day Mrs. Weller! There is a new street in Costa Rica named after you.

Actor Peter Weller of Fox’s hit TV Show “24” and the blockbuster movie “Robocop” has decided to name a street in his new Costa Rican neighborhood after his mother. Weller has received an acre plot of undeveloped land in Phase Three, known as ‘The Valley of Pacifica’ from Paragon Properties of Costa Rica, a Hollywood, Florida based company specializing in selling pre-developed land on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast.

Weller and Paragon Property’s Chairman of the Board, Bill Gale, are personal friends with a long standing friendship. Gale had originally offered to name Weller’s street “Weller Way” out of respect to the actor and his extensive resume in the entertainment business. Weller, however, thought it would be a better idea to name the street after his mother Dorothy. Coincidentally, Gale’s mother is also named Dorothy which made the idea perfect for both men. The decision was made to name the street “Dorothy Drive” out of respect for both men’s mothers.

According to Gale, “We are pleased to name a new street in our Phase Three development ‘Dorothy Drive’ after both Peter’s mother and my own mother Dorothy. With Mother’s Day coming, I believe it’s a nice gesture. Also, I like the idea that, for generations to come, our mothers’ names will be immortalized on a street where families will grow up, raise children, and grow old together. Our mothers have been a great influence in both Peter’s life and my own life, and I am proud to name a street after these wonderful women.”

Paragon Properties of Costa Rica has sold-out eleven complete subdivisions in south-central Costa Rica within the last eighteen months. The South Florida based company is credited with igniting a renewed interest in the small Central American Democracy with their strong presence on television and the Internet. According to Gale, “Costa Rica is a great alternative to the United States. The country is a safe and peaceful democracy where the U.S. dollar goes a lot further than it does here. Thousands of Americans, including my friend Peter Weller, have been hearing great things about Costa Rica for many years. But with the current social and political climate being the way it is, it seems many Americans are actively searching for an alternative. We just happen to be in the right business at the right time.”
