Alliance Between China Optimization Group and Eupath Will Help Open China and India Markets for US Companies

Two leading China- and India-sourcing specialists have formed a strategic alliance to help US companies quickly understand the opportunities available in both markets. Chicago-based China Optimization Group and Phoenix-based Eupath will work together to offer US companies a true understanding of the sourcing landscape in both China and India by quickly addressing key issues such as asset reallocation and protecting intellectual property rights.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 12, 2006 -- China Optimization Group (COG), a leading provider of emerging market strategy solutions, announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Eupath, an independent management consulting firm providing India-specific sourcing solutions.

Both firms have found success serving a variety of manufacturers and professional service providers. The agreement will enable companies interested in doing business in the leading emerging markets to quickly understand which market, either China or India, offers the best opportunity for both immediate and long-term success. Since each firm has employees based in China and India, they are able to offer clients a true understanding of the sourcing landscape in both China and India by quickly addressing key issues such as asset reallocation and protecting intellectual property rights.

“Developing a reliable plan to either source products in another market or enter a new market is an intricate process that can often delay a company’s efforts to capitalize on new growth opportunities,” said Jeff Pluto, president and CEO of COG. “India and China each offer unique benefits for companies, and we can now help our clients to quickly assess the potential benefits of each market and make an educated decision about which market they want to be in.”

Imports to the US from China between 2004-2005 increased by almost 24 percent to $242B, and imports to the US from India increased by nearly 21 percent over the same period to $18.7B, according to tariff and trade data from the US Department of Commerce and US International Trade Commission. Also over the last year, US exports to China increased by more than 20 percent from 2004-2005 to $41.8B, while US exports to India increased by more than 30 percent over the same period to $7.95B.

“COG works with its clients to develop the right strategy with respect to China -- from sourcing and market entry to distribution and M&A support -- and then to implement it,” Pluto continued. “Our alliance with EUPATH enables us to extend our current service offering where we apply strategy, advocacy and transparency, an approach that our clients have come to rely on. We are confident that this partnership will help better position our clients to capitalize on opportunities in both China and India.”

“This partnership is a response to traditional sourcing brokers that maintain limited relationships with select manufacturers and cannot protect their clients when issues like poor quality or price increases occur,” said Abhay Jajoo, Managing Director of Eupath. “Unlike traditional brokers, who are paid to bring clients to specific suppliers, Eupath and China Optimization Group share our clients’ urgency, because we are compensated by our clients and not the native suppliers. Therefore, we help clients mitigate risks while enabling them to achieve the kind of success that improves organizational value.”
