On Court Pro Expo Will Offer More Than Just Exposure For Basketball Players

Many graduating college seniors and current professional basketball players from across the globe will converge on Suwanee Sports Academy for the On Court Pro Expo, June 3-4. These athletes will get looks from scouts, coaches, and agents from all over the world that are looking to sign players for the upcoming basketball season. However, unlike most professional basketball exposure events, that offer nothing more than game play, the On Court Pro Expo will feature the Life As A Pro Forum on Saturday, June 3, following the first day of action on the courts. The Life As A Pro Forum will allow the players to get a better understanding of life as a professional basketball player, on and off the court as they will get advice and information from several prominent figures in the sport of basketball.

Suwanee, GA (PRWEB) May 19, 2006 –- Many graduating college seniors and current professional basketball players from across the globe will converge on Suwanee Sports Academy for the On Court Pro Expo, June 3-4.

Former NBA All-Star Mark Price, current Atlanta Hawks Assistant Coach Herb Brown, and former overseas professional player James Hodges will each provide insight on how to succeed at the next level. The Life As A Pro Forum will be moderated by Fox Sports/Turner South broadcaster Bob Rathbun, who is the play-by-play voice for the Atlanta Hawks and Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves. Rathbun also heads up the Atlanta Hawks Speakers Bureau.

“The Life As A Pro Forum is going to add so much vital information about life as a professional basketball player that many of these players would not hear otherwise,” commented Price, who is the head coach of the South Dragons in the Australian Professional League. “The On Court Pro Expo in itself is going to be a world-class event and the forum will certainly be an added value.

Following talks from Price, Brown and Hodges, players will engage in a question and answer session with the speakers, moderated by Rathbun. At the conclusion of the Life As A Pro Forum, players will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with any of the scouts, coaches and agents in attendance, allowing the players to interact on a personal level, away from the court.

The On Court Pro Expo will include four sessions of games over the two-day event with opportunities for individual workouts at a scout, coach, or agents request. The officiating for the expo will be directed by Joe Forte, a veteran NBA official, whose officials’ clinic will coincide with the On Court Pro Expo. For more information, visit www.onproexpo.com.
