Cheetah Lopez speaks candidly about the making of her new musical project "This House" with Nick Gonzalez.

(PRWEB) May 23, 2006 -- Cheetah Lopez has captured the ears and eyes of some of the biggest names in the music industry. Known for creating her own independent career collaborating with platinum award winning producer David Cochran, formally of the Comordores, Lionel Ritchie, and Paula Abdul along with Janice Johnson of “Taste of Honey.”

Having the proud honor of working with such notables in the business as Fantom, best known for producing songstress Tony Braxton, as well as Stanley Banks, bassist for George Benson. Banks performs his magic on Cheetah’s new release “Corazon Regresa.” Plans are in the works with Oscar Hernandez, best known for his work with the Late King and Queen of Salsa, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz.

Cheetah's specialty is taking different genres of music from love songs, up-tempo Samba's, R&B and jazz tunes into a flavoring of her own by putting her Latin "flare" on them. The end results are tunes that move the body, stir the soul and launches the mind to higher musical heights in a Salsa, Funky-jazz-latin foundation.

Cheetah with Sabor was formed in June of 2000, this is where Cheetah knew her true beginning had just begun. Her originals "This House," "Secret Place" and "Con Un Amor" became popular playing in different venues all throughout northern and southern California. Influenced by Natalie Cole, Barbara Streisand, Karen Carpenter, Diana Ross, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye and Al Green just to name a few.

Producer David Cochran states, "Cheetah’s new solo project will be an exciting fusion of Latin, Soul, R&B and Jazz, so get ready for the hot passion that she's going to bring.” As well as being a very soulful and magical singer she is an accomplished songwriter. Cochran wants to promote Cheetah as the Latin Chaka Kahn and she wants to be known as the next modern version of Celia Cruz.

Cochran's goal is to make Cheetah a worldwide idol and plans to have her debut release completed by early fall 2006. Cheetah states, "I've only just begun."

Jazz radio show host Jaijai Jackson states, “Cheetah has a special quality all her own, a signature sound, I have watched her grow throughout the years and expect to see a lot of airplay of her upcoming CD 'This House.'”
