A sixteen year project management veteran shares her project recovery success system in a new 203-page guide for new and inexperienced Project Managers.

Markham, ON (PRWEB) May 31, 2006 -- Troubled Projects are now facing trouble of their own. Josephine G. Marcellin, MBA PMP, a sixteen year project management veteran has declared war on troubled projects.

Consolidating her project management experiences, she has created a simple, step-by-step guide appropriately titled “Back On Track: An IT Manager’s Guide to Leading Projects Out Of Crisis.”

There are many project management books on the market. There are few spoken from the perspective of the project manager. I aim to be that voice
“After mentoring numerous project managers over the past 5 years, I realized that new and inexperienced project managers seemed to face the same questions, the same crisis situations over and over again”, Josephine says. “Without a mentor, most managers ended up with project issues that could have been easily avoided – if they had the right guidance. This is why I wrote this guide. To provide the sort of guidance that can help new and inexperienced project managers escape potential minefields while consistently delivering successful projects – to high levels of client satisfaction.”

And it seems that this approach is working. Only a few weeks old, the guide has already been receiving rave reviews from her clients and colleagues.

Cynthia Cormier, an IT Manager from Toronto, Canada has this to say: “'Back on Track' is exactly what I needed. It is both motivating and enlightening, filled with the wisdom and experience of a seasoned, successful project manager. I loved this book and I know that I will refer to it again and again.”

The Guide reads like a story as we follow Josephine through the steps required to bring a project back under control. Using stories from her own experience and that of her colleagues, Josephine takes what could be a very complex process and simplifies it in a format that is understandable by anyone.

“Project management is fun – if you have a proven system. I know this process works – it has worked, and continues to work, for myself and for many of my colleagues,” she said.

And her success speaks for itself. Over the past sixteen years, Josephine has successfully used this simple approach to lead projects in the Banking and Investment industries, in Food Distribution and in pure IT Development. All to raving client, and team, satisfaction surveys.

In her own words, “There are many project management books on the market. There are few spoken from the perspective of the project manager. I aim to be that voice”.
