This 300,000 acre reserve is considered the most pristine and diverse natural areas remaining in Mexico with varied and complex vegetation types including the two most threatened - the rain forest and the cloud forest. A portion of the sales price of Jalima Certified Organic Coffee, grown in the area surrounding the reserve, is donated to the El Triunfo Conservation Fund.

Jalima Coffee continues its commitment to social responsibility with its partnership with Andares, A.B.P. in Mexico. Andares has a program for handicapped adults and children that provides residential living as well as work opportunities. Jalima Coffee contracts their services to affix the labels on its coffee bags and makes a donation to the organization as well.

Recently, Jalima Coffee formed a strategic alliance with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. This organization improves access to and the quality of post-secondary educational opportunities for Hispanic students in the U.S. Jalima Coffee has developed a rebate program with HACU to support their educational initiatives.
