Visionary Communications has announced BuddyMail, providing free email accounts to their Internet customers to give out to family and friends.

Gillette, WY (PRWEB) June 9, 2006 -- Visionary Communications has announced BuddyMail, providing free email accounts to their Internet customers to give out to family and friends. BuddyMail provides a customer of Visionary's Internet services with five free emails at no cost to the customer.

Visionary customers can set up any acquaintance with a Visionary email tied to their account. Because the emails reside on the same server, important emails to loved ones and friends are sure to be delivered promptly and without incident.

The company developed BuddyMail in response to an increasing rise in support calls regarding lost or misdirected email between Internet Service Providers. As SPAM and virus traffic has increased, ISPs have locked down their email servers to limit the spread of unwanted email. Many service providers are simply limiting the email that can be sent through their servers, degrading the quality and benefits of email.

ISPs are also subscribing to Real-time Blackhole Lists (RBLs) that monitor spammers and relay information back to the ISP to hinder emails from known SPAM locations on the Internet. However, an RBL can misreport to an ISP's email server that a message is likely to be spam based on the sending location, blocking important emails.

"In 1996, an ISP helped customers with dialup settings and getting online," stated Jeremy Malli, self-professed Alpha Geek for Visionary. "Now, we spend our time chasing down email, and figuring out whose sever they are on. With BuddyMail, we know what server they are on, and there is only one quarantine they can be in - ours."

Malli went on to explain that the "geeks" at Visionary anticipate BuddyMail will save hundreds of hours each year on tech support calls. The company will no longer have to troubleshoot half of an email path, but will provide a one-stop call to find the email that the kids sent to Grandma.

Visionary is issuing free emails to their customers on the welovegeeks.com domain. The company's slogan is "we have geeks". BuddyMail is proving the company lives up to that slogan. Each welovegeeks.com email will include protection for SPAM and viruses.

Visionary Communications was founded in a basement in 1994, and has become Wyoming's pioneering broadband provider, offering DSL in 18 Wyoming communities and wireless broadband in 11 Wyoming communities. The company provides internet services in more than 90 towns and cities. The company is headquartered in Gillette, Wyoming.
