For the second year in a row, the Priority Pass Lounge of the Year 2006 award has been won by the Continental Presidents Club at Terminal E, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston.
(PRWEB) June 14, 2006 -- The high quality facilities, welcoming staff and general ambiance were key factors that won the vote of Priority Pass (http://www.prioritypass.com) members throughout the world. Once again, the Presidents Club had to compete with over 500 airport lounges in the Priority Pass program, with regional awards being made to outstanding lounges in Zürich (Europe), Seoul (Asia), Dubai (Middle East) and Bogotá (South America).
“It’s a tribute to the high standards of this lounge that it has received this award for the second time,” commented Terry Evans, President of Priority Pass USA, “Our members are discerning, frequent travelers, and they know a thing or two about service.”
Janice Foster, Manager, Continental Airlines Presidents Clubs paid tribute to the staff at the lounge, “Our team at the Presidents Club are what makes the lounge special. We strive to maintain the highest possible standards in our lounges, and we are delighted that so many members of Priority Pass appreciate that!”

About Priority Pass™
Priority Pass (http://www.prioritypass.com) was launched in 1992 with the goal of providing frequent travelers with airport lounge access, regardless of their class of travel, airline flown or existing membership in an airline loyalty program.
In 14 years Priority Pass has become the world's largest independent airport lounge access program. Starting with just 55 lounges, today Priority Pass works with over 500 lounges in more than 245 cities, covering more than 80 countries in every major continent of the world - and the network of lounges continues to grow.
More than 1.5 million people carry a Priority Pass card whenever they travel.
There are Priority Pass offices located in Dallas, London, Frankfurt, Madrid and Hong Kong.
About the Priority Pass Lounge of the Year awards
The Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Awards were launched in 2005 to recognize outstanding service and facilities in this increasingly important area of business travel.
Once again in 2006, Priority Pass members throughout the world were invited to rate lounges they have visited from within the Priority Pass program, and the lounges with the highest average scores in each region were named Lounge of the Year.
The lounge with the highest rating of all, and therefore the overall winner was, for the second year running, the Continental Presidents Club at Houston, TX, USA.
