Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) June 21, 2006 -– The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) has set pricing and is beginning to take reservations for dates after August 1. Both individual and group trips down the world’s largest artificial whitewater river now may be booked by phone.
Individual rafting sessions will be $33 for 90 minutes. For groups of 12 – 40, the rate is $31 per person, decreasing to $29 per person for larger groups. Kayakers who bring their own boats and equipment will pay $15 for 90 minutes. You must be at least 12 years of age to enter the river. Trips currently are booked by calling 704-372-9695.
“We now are booking whitewater dates in August, including group team-building events. We just sold a week’s pass in early August to a group of kayakers from New York,” says Lance Kinerk, USNWC director of development. “Although reservations are not required, we highly recommend that you call and book trips ahead of time.”
Ten minutes from downtown Charlotte, NC and set among 307 wooded acres along the scenic Catawba River, the Whitewater Center’s multi-use facility has a climbing center, mountain biking trails and running trails in addition to rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
