CBT Nuggets has released a training package specifically for Information Assurance Professionals in the Department of Defense who are required to be certified under document 8570.01-M, the “Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program” manual.

Eugene, OR (PRWEB) June 28, 2006 -- The Department of Defense (DoD) and US Military recently gave strict orders to Information Assurance (IA) personnel: Get certified or lose your IA job. This left many wondering how they would gain the knowledge and skills needed for certification. IT Training provider CBT Nuggets has released a training video combo pack that answers those concerns.

CBT Nuggets’ new DoD Information Assurance Combo Pack contains training videos for the Security+, SSCP, and CISSP security certifications. Together these certifications qualify DoD employees for all three levels of Information Assurance Technical (IAT) positions, as well as each of the three levels of Information Assurance Management (IAM) positions:

IAT Level I: SSCP
IAT Level II: Security+, SSCP
IAT Level III: CISSP
IAM Level I: Security+
IAM Level II: CISSP
IAM Level III: CISSP

The training videos teach real-world skills while covering exam objectives, so students can prepare for certification while gaining how-to knowledge they can use on the job.

“As a company, we take many steps to provide technical training to our country’s service men and women. When the DoD announced that Information Assurance personnel would need these industry certifications, we recognized that we could help. By giving IA personnel a straightforward way to get trained and certified, we’re helping them secure our armed forces’ computer systems -- a crucial part of national security,” explained Dan Charbonneau, CEO and Founder, CBT Nuggets.

The training requirements covered by the DoD Information Assurance Combo Pack are explained in DoD document 8570.01-M, the “Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program” manual.

CBT Nuggets covers the concepts in a series of short, 15-30 minute video segments or “nuggets,” so the material learned can quickly be put to use.

Sample videos from the DoD Information Assurance Combo Pack and other CBT Nuggets training are available for viewing on the CBT Nuggets website, providing examples of the quality of instruction and format of the training.

CBT Nuggets provides comprehensive training for certification exams from Microsoft®, CompTIA®, Cisco® and Citrix®, plus many other professional certification vendors. The training is designed to offer technical accuracy in conjunction with real-world analogies to promote understanding for beginners and experts alike.

CBT Nuggets is the leader in video-based IT certification training. Based in Eugene, Oregon, the company was founded in 1999 and is committed to providing quality educational training videos to the information technology industry. For more information, visit www.cbtnuggets.com/secpr.
