Area Safety Manager for Clark Construction Group receives award from online safety community www.safetyxchange.org.

Stamford, CT (PRWEB) June 30, 2006 -- SafetyXChange, the online community of safety professionals, proudly awarded its first Safety Hero of the Year Saxcie™ to Jeffrey D. Ambrose of Clark Construction Group, LLP.

“We applaud Jeffrey Ambrose for his commitment to safety, both in the workplace and in the community,” said Glenn Demby, Editor-in-Chief of SafetyXChange. “His concern for the safety of others reaches far beyond his day job. Serving as a volunteer firefighter, hazardous materials response team member, mentor and teacher, Jeffrey actively strives to keep his entire community safe. He’s an inspiring example to his colleagues in the safety profession.”

At a reception held in Seattle, Washington on June 13, 2006, SafetyXChange also handed out Saxcies™ to winners in the four other categories, including Safety Trainer of the Year, Best New Safety Product, Safety Program of the Year and the coveted Henshaw Award for Corporate Leadership in Safety. Details of winners in all five categories can be found at www.safetyxchange.org.

With the Saxcies™, SafetyXChange has created the only international safety industry awards program that honors both individuals and organizations for outstanding achievement in occupational health and safety. Corporate sponsors of the 2006 Saxcies™ awards include Bongarde Media, Safety Smart! magazine and Safety411.net.
