International home accessibility network surpasses 120,000 inquiries for stair chair lifts, home elevators, ceiling lifts and dumbwaiters.

(PRWEB) June 30, 2006 -- The SILVER CROSS Network was established in 2001 to create a group of pre-screened home accessibility companies. Countries covered by the network include Canada, the USA and the United Kingdom.

Products offered to people in search of home accessibility solutions are stair chair lifts, residential elevators, ceiling lifts, wheelchair lifts, walk-in bath tubs and dumbwaiters.

The SILVER CROSS Network has surpassed 120,000 inquiries since its inception.

New products added to the service include walk-in bathtubs and vacuum elevators.

Vacuum elevators are relatively new to the marketplace they are unique because they require less room than a traditional home elevator and do not require a load bearing wall.

The walk-in bathtub is also a relatively new product designed to allow easy and safe access to those presently having difficulty getting in and out of conventional bathtubs.

Continual improvements are being made to traditional home accessibility products such as stair lifts, home elevators, ceiling lifts and dumbwaiters.

Home elevators are offered in a variety of sizes and configurations with many options that allow them blend into the home. Door options, a variety of interior cab finishes and elimination of the need for a machine room are made available with some models.

Stair lift manufacturers are reducing rail size and offering more seat options as competition increases for new features. Off-shore cost savings are reducing the prices of most models. To view a comparison chart...

Dumbwaiters are becoming more popular as custom home owners are looking for an easy way to move products from one floor to another. One manufacturer is offering the dumbwaiter cab pre-mounted to the track for ease of installation.
