The Pepy Ride is a New York State registered Non-for-Profit Corporation founded in 2005 to support educational projects in developing countries and disaster relief areas. Pepy Tours organizes volunteer and adventure travel in developing countries and redevelopment areas suffering from natural disasters. PEPY Tours is currently looking for volunteers for their upcoming three trips to Cambodia.

Briarcliff Manor, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2006

In December 2005, the first annual Pepy Ride brought six cyclists from around the world to Cambodia for five weeks to visit schools and orphanages and spread the Pepy message, "Protect the Earth. Protect Yourself." The riders raised funds to support American Assistance for Cambodia, Japan Relief for Cambodia, and to build The Pepy Ride School. Since then, The Pepy Ride has raised over $100,000 for organizations supporting educational projects.

Protect the Earth. Protect Yourself.
This year, Pepy Tours will organize several trips to visit areas and organizations supported by The Pepy Ride. They will range from high intensity multi-week cycle trips to week long volunteer projects focusing on a specific developing area. Each is designed to give participants an introduction to development work in Cambodia, with hands on experience volunteering with the organizations for which they have raised funds.

In August 2006, The Pepy Ride will bring two teams of volunteers to Phnom Penh to support the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) and raise money to build The Pepy Ride Medical Center at CCF’s new orphanage and educational facility. The trips will run from August 6-13, 2006 and August 13-19, 2006. Both trips will have an optional extension trip to Siem Reap, home of the temples of Angkor Wat.

Since The Pepy Ride School opened in 2005, over 80 volunteers from 14 countries have visited the school to work on educational and building projects. The next Pepy Ride School Volunteer Trip will run from December 23-30, 2006. The second annual Pepy Ride will take place from December 27, 2006-January 18, 2007. Volunteers will cycle from Siem Reap, through Phnom Penh and into Sihanoukville, stopping along the way to deliver school supplies, visit orphanages and teach classes on environmental awareness. The Pepy Ride’s co-founder, Daniela Papi says, “Many people donate in support of development projects they will never visit, but with Pepy, you can go where your money goes. By joining one of our trips, you see first hand the difference you are making.”
