The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity will feature Christian rockers Second Adam’s “Waterside” July’s Free Download at the Franciscanized World website.

(PRWEB) June 30, 2006 -- The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity will feature Christian rockers Second Adam’s “Waterside” as July’s “Song of the Month,” available as a free download on the Franciscanized World page of www.fscc-calledtobe.org.

Each month, specially selected songs and images are chosen for spiritual reflection, designed to invite participation and reflection from visitors, in particular young women discerning their call in life.

We’ve talked with our current and prospective candidates in their 20’s, wanting to learn the best way to reach young women interested in knowing more about us, and possibly joining us
The up and coming Minneapolis based band plays a brand of rock and roll influenced by classic rock, and artists as diverse as as Jet, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Living Sacrifice and Switchfoot.

“Waterside” is one of the band’s first recording, an upbeat invitation to “…take a walk down to the waterside, where we can see Jesus lifted high.”

The “Franciscanized World” page is designed to help visitors see the world as Saints Francis and Clare did -- realistically, compassionately, finding good and holy possibility in the substance and culture of everyday life.

"We’ve talked with our current and prospective candidates in their 20’s, wanting to learn the best way to reach young women interested in knowing more about us, and possibly joining us,” Sr. Julie Ann Sheahan, OSF, Directress of Vocations said. “We want to present our life as a viable option for them. Personal invitation is always best; however, we became convinced that real conversations can begin by using the language of images and music.”

Established in 1869, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity serve in Catholic health care, education and parish ministries in 11 U.S. dioceses (Green Bay, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Tucson, Honolulu, Chicago, Marquette, Jackson, Omaha, Columbus and Steubenville).
