Adaptive Wear with a Flair of Fashion Debuts On-Line

Stylish, adaptive clothing solutions for seniors and persons with special needs unveiled at www.nicencozy.com.

Wilmette, IL (PRWEB) July 13, 2006 -- Adaptive clothing should be comfortable and easy to put on and take off, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fashionable. With that in mind, Nice ‘n Cozy has designed a stylish line of fleece shawls, capes, bed jackets, ponchos and caftans that vary from rich plaids and patterns to jewel toned colors.

“Clothing plays an important part in a person’s self-esteem, attitude and comfort,” notes Jill Schiller, Co-Founder of Nice ‘n Cozy. “Just because a person has a physical limitation doesn’t mean they shouldn’t feel and look attractive.”

Just because a person has a physical limitation doesn’t mean they shouldn’t feel and look attractive.
Schiller and her partners, Mary Lois Hakewill and Deborah Pomponio Flynn, launched Nice ‘n Cozy after caring for their aging mothers. “We found a real void in the market. We couldn’t find anything except clumsy clinical looking wraps to help keep them warm,” explains Schiller.

In entering the market, Schiller acknowledges there are several companies who offer adaptive clothing solutions but she believes Nice ‘n Cozy is unique with their focus on fashion. “Adaptive clothing has to offer ease in dressing and undressing, be washable and durable, but if doesn’t have to be unappealing,” comments Schiller.

“Our line allows each person to express his or her unique personality,” she adds. Among the company’s best sellers are the leopard print and cherry red Jacqueline shawls. Bright colors have been found to give a psychological lift and a feeling of self-confidence.

Beyond fashion, the trio spent considerable time consulting with health care professionals and caregivers to design a line of products that contributes to ease in dressing and undressing. “Caregivers have told us repeatedly they love the ease and dignity of our clothing,” adds Schiller.

Every piece from the Nice ‘n Cozy Collection is made from cashmere-soft fleece or cotton terry, and is machine-wash/dry, dye-fast and pill resistant. The garments are one size fits all and made in the USA. The newly launched website www.nicencozy.com provides a sampling of colors and styles and is updated periodically.

Nice N’ Cozy was founded in 2004 with a vision to manufacture stylish fleece garments that bring a healing beauty to the wearer. The products are available on-line and the business welcomes wholesale inquiries. For more information, and to review the product line, visit
