Founded in 1967, Marshall Consultants was the first Executive Search and Management Consulting Firm to specialize in the PR, investor relations, corporate and marketing communications functions. With an enviable 94% search completion track-record gained in almost four decades, Marshall said that he is looking forward to renewing his relationships with the many clients they have successfully served, as well as building new ones.
For over 30 years the firm has had eastern offices in New York, as well as western offices in Seattle and Los Angeles. They have now relocated to their present offices in Ashland, Oregon. Formerly, Marshall Consultants has had a staff of up to 10 professional recruiters, handling a high volume of searches at all experience levels. Additional service offerings will be available in management consulting projects, including communications company mergers and acquisitions, and assistance in corporate client’s PR firm selection.

Marshall will be joined in the venture by his wife, Joy Marshall, who previously consulted for the Children's Miracle Network, where she guided hospitals for children in creating successful corporate fund raising events and cause-related marketing programs. For Marshall Consultants, she will oversee Operations and Research, and recruit Development and Management executives for the non-profit sector.
Hugh McCandless, former Executive Vice President for Marshall Consultants, will serve in an 'of counsel' capacity. McCandless ran the New York City office. A veteran communications executive, he formerly headed the function at the international accounting and consulting firm Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche).
