The New Life Hiking Spa in Killington, Vermont is offering an eleven day weight loss retreat, with special rates for groups of four or more. The retreat is being attended by participants from around the world.

Killington, VT (PRWEB) July 15, 2006 – The world renowned New Life Hiking Spa in Killington, Vermont is offering a special 11-Day Weight Loss Retreat for people who are looking to get into shape by getting back to nature. New Life Hiking Spa has received international attention after being selected by Shape Magazine as one of the eight best weight loss spas based on its realistic programming. The spa has also been mentioned on Good Morning America and has been featured in numerous international spa publications and websites. The international acclaim has drawn clients from all over the world. In addition to clients from the U.S. and Canada, for the 2006 season, New Life Hiking Spa has clients coming from England, Russia, Mexico, Tahiti and Saudi Arabia.

New Life Hiking Spa is offering a group special for four or more participants at the all-inclusive price of $1,999.00 each for the eleven day weight loss retreat based on double occupancy for the four guests. Single occupancy for the eleven day program is $2,519.00 and double occupancy is 2,299. The program includes a deluxe room at a Vermont country inn, all meals, snacks, fitness programs, hiking and three massages.

The clean, fresh air and the Vermont scenery is a wonderful way to jump start anyone’s fitness and health routine, even if it has been decades since you last exercised
Through hiking and other coordinated and facilitated physical fitness activities, wellness education and special interest programming, healthful cuisine and professionally administered body work, the Weight Loss Retreat lasts 11 days or longer and allows spa-goers to make real changes in their eating habits and lifestyles. New Life offers three different levels of hiking daily, adjusting to specific needs while still allowing guests to be strengthened, clear their minds and increase cardiovascular and flexibility.

Director and founder Jimmy LeSage, M.S. explains, “There is no other hiking program in the world that can offer so many varied options with the level of professional staff New Life employs. Many guests on the 11-day program start off on the nature walk thinking they will not be able to do anything else during their stay and end the eleventh day with the advanced hike. It’s amazing how the body adjusts to the increasing level of endurance each day, and our staff is there to closely monitor each participant’s progress on each hike.”

In addition to offering diverse terrain to challenge every fitness level, New Life’s exclusive menu focuses on weight loss, providing a nutritional balance of complex carbohydrates for the energy and fuel needed on an active vacation and enough protein and fat to meet individual needs.

New Life Director and Founder Jimmy LeSage combined his talents as an expert chef and professional counselor to start New Life Hiking Spa in 1978. He developed the Weight Loss Retreat in 2000 to address the ever increasing population of people who are looking for a jump start to lose weight, but are tired of fad diets and the “yo-yo” syndrome.

“The clean, fresh air and the Vermont scenery is a wonderful way to jump start anyone’s fitness and health routine, even if it has been decades since you last exercised,” says LeSage. “Hiking is a fabulous way to get in shape and nothing beats the Vermont backdrop.”

He adds, “At New Life, you are given the opportunity to dive head-first into a healthier lifestyle and gain the skills you need to go back into your ‘real world’ and continue losing. We have seen great success with our program.”

Guests are educated about health enhancement, enabling them to take the healthy habits home and implement them into their individual lifestyles. To assist guests in continuing with a healthy lifestyle after their Weight Loss Retreat, New Life offers cooking classes, nutrition and wellness workshops and individual counseling as well as an on-line cookbook, the New Life Guide to Healthy Eating, which can be found at www.newlifediet.com.
