China Hospitality News Begins Two Travel Publishing Services

Leading Chinese Trade Publisher Announces Additions To Its Tourism Offerings

Hong Kong (PRWEB) July 19, 2006 -- China Hospitality News, the leading publication covering the hotel, airline, travel, and hospitality sector in China, has today launched its new bilingual monthly print magazine. ChinaHospitalityNews.com today also unveils its revamped daily Chinese-language industry website at www.chinahospitalitynews.com/cn/.

The Chinese-language website provides daily news, commentary, and job information for executives working in China's hospitality sector. The monthly magazine aims to amplify the daily industry content produced on the ChinaHospitalityNews.com website.

"We've been running the China Hospitality News (www.chinahospitalitynews.com) website for almost four years and it has become the top destination for executives and decision-makers in China's inbound and outbound travel sector," Paul Doyle, Publisher of China Hospitality News says. "The new monthly bilingual print magazine is going out to a qualified database of 20,000 recipients who work at travel agencies, hotels, consultancies, airlines, and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) companies in China and abroad."

According to the China National Travel Administration, from 1978 to 2004, the inbound traveler numbers in China increased from 1.81 million to 109 million, and foreign travel currency from US$260 million to US$25.74 billion. The World Travel Organization predicts that by 2020, China will become the biggest travel reception country and fourth largest outbound travel country in the world. The World Travel Organization estimates that Chinese outbound tourists to Europe will increase at an annual rate of 30% in the coming years.

Asia is still a top spot for Chinese travelers. Singapore attracted up to 850,000 Chinese tourists in 2005. According to the Hong Kong Tourism Bureau, mainland China provided Hong Kong with 1,141,391 arrivals in February 2006, 9.6% more than in the same month in 2005. Purchase of luxury travel is growing significantly in Asia with those of High Net Worth Individual (people holding at least US$ 1million in financial assets) status growing by 8.2% in 2004 (twice the rate of Europe) and now their numbers are equivalent to the USA. China is particularly strong in its growth with annual 10% increments predicted annually for the next 10 years.

Many international airlines are increasing their China flights with companies like Lufthansa, Continental, and American Airlines expanding their routes to the Middle Kingdom. In addition, Chinese and foreign hoteliers are bursting with new hotels as companies like Jinjiang, Cendant, Shangri-La, Starwood, InterContinental, Marriott, and Carlson rapidly expand their franchises into China.

Management of China Hospitality News is also being shuffled. Paul Doyle will become the Publisher of the suite of travel publication services and Danny Levinson will move from the Publisher position to take over the Editor position at both the print and online versions.
