Columbus, OH (PRWEB) July 19, 2006 –- The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and ECNext announced the launch of a joint website today, featuring EIU’s comprehensive suite of global research and advisory services and ECNext’s search marketing expertise.

The site will be run and managed by ECNext and is built on ECNext’s proprietary content merchandising platform. The site will leverage ECNext’s expertise in search engine marketing which will drive the EIU (www.eiu.com) content set to be available to the growing number of executives who are in need of quick access to the latest business intelligence for their marketplace.

The alliance between EIU and ECNextis a natural fit for both businesses
EIU provides a constant flow of analysis and forecasts on more than 200 countries and eight key industries. The co-branded site will feature country analysis and forecasts, risk assessments, economic and market data, industry trends and management strategies, each individually available for purchase.

The joint website opens up new revenue and marketing opportunities for EIU by extending its reach to professionals and executives through the web for the research they need. By exposing millions of individual pieces of company information to search engines through large scale search marketing programs and other emarketing initiatives, ECNext drives highly targeted search traffic to this co-branded site and fulfills the end user needs quickly.

“Teaming up with ECNext is important to EIU because it enables us to capture new users and monetize the opportunity that the web presents,” said Lou Celi, Senior Vice President and Publishing Director, Economist Intelligence Unit. “ECNext guided us thru the process from prepping our content and making it Internet-ready, through pricing and packaging. We look forward to building a wider online audience and leveraging external search engines through this innovative initiative.”

ECNext is the leading company for marketing and selling premium business information on the Web. Managing over 55 publisher websites, ECNext’s technology and search-driven marketing programs allow publishers to sell on-demand content to users and build an online audience of repeat visitors.

“The alliance between EIU and ECNextis a natural fit for both businesses,” said Pamela Springer, CEO and president of ECNext. “By combining our cutting-edge technology and search engine marketing experience with EIU’s comprehensive database of reports, the site will be brought to the forefront of the users’ minds and they will continue to expand their use of the Web for seeking business intelligence.“
