"Minority organ donor awareness group is giving away 50 business ideas to start under $500 for every $1 donation."

Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) July 21, 2006 -- Automatic Life, Inc. is a nonprofit organization aimed at focusing on increasing minority organ donations and awareness, specifically targeting African American and Hispanic communities. It announced today that the organization plans to make everyone who gives a financial donation this summer a sweepstakes winner. During the months of July and August Automatic Life, Inc. is giving away “50 Business Ideas To Start Under $500” for every $1 donation. The nonprofit teamed up with an outside corporation that specializes in developing cutting-edge businesses. This is certainly a sweet deal for supporters looking to start a new business on a shoestring budget or make a career change.

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services more than 13,500 Hispanics are on waiting lists for organ transplants-accounting for 15 percent of all organ transplant wait listed patients. The waiting period for most transplants is 17-53% percent longer for Hispanics than for non-Hispanic Whites. Nearly 24,000 African Americans are on waiting lists for organ transplants-accounting for 27 percent of all organ transplant wait listed patients. African Americans comprised 35 percent of the waiting lists for kidney transplants. African Americans are almost four times as likely to have end-stage renal disease than Whites, but they are less likely to be evaluated and placed on waiting lists for kidney transplants in a timely manner. Once on the list, they also tend to wait longer for a transplant.

50 Business Ideas To Start Under $500
“The first plan of action here is to raise awareness and increase minority organ donations,” stated Andrea Gwyn, Director of Automatic Life, Inc. “Making everyone a sweepstakes champion shows our gratitude for receiving our message and helping us promote our cause.”
