Project Management Institute Grants Advanced Concepts Center Registered Education Provider Designation

Advanced Concepts Center (ACC), a leading provider of learning solutions to include consulting, education and mentoring, today announced their approval from the Project Management Institute as a Registered Education Provider.

Roswell, GA (PRWEB) July 25, 2006 -- Advanced Concepts Center (ACC), a leading provider of learning solutions to include consulting, education and mentoring, today announced their approval from the Project Management Institute as a Registered Education Provider.

ACC has been working with the Project Management Institute (PMI) to meet their latest requirements for certifying courseware for the education of Project Management Professionals (PMPs). ACC has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by the PMI. As a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), ACC has agreed to abide by the PMI established quality assurance criteria. This criteria aligns with the definitive handbook of information and best practices for project management, the Project Management Book Of Knowledge (PMBOK).

ACC offers a complete project management curriculum that can be customized to meet your specific objectives, from developing basic project management skills to enhancing existing skills, certification or advancing the skill set of experienced project managers who are facing complex, global projects with distributed project teams. “The ACC has been providing PM education and solutions to our client base for over 10 years, mostly with partner content that was approved by PMI. The ACC is thrilled that our curriculum meets the PMI requirements and are proud to be a PMI R.E.P.”, states David Bieg, ACC Managing Partner. This decision will be welcome news to the Fortune 500 Project Management Offices (PMO) that ACC supports. Additionally, for those customers that desire a university certificate program, the ACC has access to Boston University’s project management curriculum. Not only does the ACC have the ability to identify the pertinent skills required at the project management level as well as structure a complete PM curriculum architecture, their PM courses complement their Business Analyst (BA) curriculum and learning solutions as well.

The PMI R.E.P. program is designed to facilitate the ongoing professional development of PMI Members, PMPs, and other project management stakeholders by linking stakeholders and training coordinators with qualified providers and products. The Advanced Concepts Center has successfully fulfilled the PMI R.E.P. quality criteria and operational guidelines for participating providers and their project management courses will be applicable for professional development units (PDUs) credit. The PMI R.E.P. requirements encompass program content, instructional methodology, operational ethics, instructor qualifications and program feedback and evaluation.

Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a broad range of activities in order to meet the requirements of a particular project or program. Creating clear direction, efficiency, timely response, and quality outcomes required by project managers are the key components the ACC provides through its PM content curriculum and associated PM learning solutions. “The ACC has worked with us for 2 years in solidifying a PM curriculum that is unique to our operating environment, they will quickly become an outstanding PMI R.E.P.”, states one of ACC’s Fortune 100 customers. The ACC’s capability of providing effective learning solutions for project management will only be enhanced by this highly acclaimed partnership with the PMI.
