Ravi Singh to discuss “From the Trenches: How IT is Changing the Face of American Campaigning.”

Budapest, Hungary (PRWEB) July 26, 2006 -- This week Ravi Singh, online campaign expert and CEO of ElectionMall Technologies, Inc., (www.electionmall.com) joins UN and EU government officials, NGOs, and other leading e-government experts in discussing the impact of new technologies on democratic institutions and e-democracy. The three day International e-Democracy Symposium is not your run of the mill conference, as leading government officials from around the world will gather and shape new global policy, effectively changing how we vote and how we interact with government.

Singh, who is considered the leading force in boosting political participation and social inclusion, will discuss the impact of technology on citizen-centric government, voter engagement and empowerment, and campaign website authentication. Singh’s online company, ElectionMall.com has been credited with altering American politics with its cutting edge technology; enabling candidates, advocacy groups, and nonprofits access to premium campaign and election tools and products. Since it was founded in 1999, ElectionMall Technologies and Singh have worked with over 400 campaigns with races ranging from school board to presidential.

“Many countries have used technology to create responsive solutions to voter concerns,” said Singh. “The aim of this conference is to further empower the e-democracy and e-government movements in the United States and around the world.”

Described as the “Campaign Guru” by USA Today Weekend Magazine®, Singh is a native of Chicago, Illinois. During his campaign for state-office in 1997, Singh made history not once, but twice, as he was the first to launch an “e-town hall” meeting and run an online campaign.

Singh, a member of the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC) and a board member of the International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC), is also scheduled to participate in the follow-up e-Democracy Symposium held in Baltimore, Maryland, August 3rd.
