AppFuse, java.net’s second most accessed project (June 2006), housed at http://appfuse.org, was created by Virtuas Practice Leader Matt Raible and is an application for "kickstarting" web application development with Java open source tools. With AppFuse, users can quickly create a Struts+Spring+Hibernate application and deploy it to Tomcat and MySQL. An AppFuse-based application will also run on all major database and application servers.
