(PRWEB) July 28, 2006 -- Spain has become an increasingly important market for software, and in particular anti-spam firms. However, many American anti-spam firms have failed to acknowledge the Spanish market.

Co-founder Martin Thorborg commented, "Spain is a very important market for us, because our US competitors totally neglect them. My goal is that Spanish speaking countries will be our largest market this year." Steps Martin Thorborg and the SPAMfighter team have taken in this direction include the immediate implementation of Spanish support, as well as making the client, and web site available in the Spanish language.

Spain is a very important market for us, because our US competitors totally neglect them. My goal is that Spanish speaking countries will be our largest market this year.
As SPAMfighter has spread to over 200 countries around the world, it has become necessary to have support in many languages for all our users. Spain has become a priority to SPAMfighter making it essential to find a way in which these users can effectively communicate with SPAMfighter. The new Spanish support offered by SPAMfighter will allow Spanish speaking users to no longer revert to English when communicating with support staff. Instead, they will be able to communicate in their native tongue for faster and clearer answers.

Another way SPAMfighter has reached out to the Spanish market is through translation of the client, and website. Spanish users are able to navigate through the SPAMfighter website in their native language. The service continues after downloading as well with the SPAMfighter program available in Spanish. Users will not be expected to navigate through a program in a language they do not speak.

With eyes set on Spain, efforts are being made to make SPAMfighter even easier to use for Spanish users.

SPAMfighter is Europe's leading spam filter developer. The Danish company is owned by the founders of Jubii.dk, Henrik Sørensen and Martin Thorborg, together with two programmers, Daniel Hjortholt and Martin Dyring. SPAMfighter employs 20 people and is based in Copenhagen. SPAMfighter is debt-free and is 100 per cent financed by income from the sale of the SPAMfighter client. Each day, SPAMfighter removes around 5 million spam messages from 6 million tested emails received by more than one million users in 209 countries/regions.

SPAMfighter draws its power from the fact that 1.4 million users report spam as they receive it, with a single click. Once several users have reported the same spam message, it is automatically filtered for all other users. The result is that 98 per cent of all spam is filtered out before it reaches any given user.
