Madison Concourse Hotel Appoints Lazzareschi as New Executive Chef

Madison Wisconsin’s most celebrated hotel located in the heart of downtown Madison announces Charles Lazzareschi as new Executive Chef.

Madison, WI (PRWEB) July 31, 2006 -– Charles Lazzareschi has been appointed the new executive chef for the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. He will manage the day-to-day food and beverage operations, which includes overseeing The Dayton Street Café and Ovations Fine Dining restaurant.

Ovations, the Madison Concourse’s new fine dining restaurant , offers contemporary cuisine with Mediterranean influences and unveiled a new menu featuring dishes such as prosciutto and manchego terrine, roasted rack of lamb with artichoke mashed potatoes and the chef’s signature dish, confit of duck with porcini filled crepes and orange-raspberry reduction.

He believes food should have a flavor that people recognize and presents each dish in an artistic, natural way.
“Charles’ vision is to use only the freshest ingredients and feature those flavors in each dish,” said Stephen Zanoni, General Manager of The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club. “He believes food should have a flavor that people recognize and presents each dish in an artistic, natural way.”

Born in San Francisco, California, Charles inherited an interest in cooking early by spending time at his father’s Italian restaurant. He has worked in hotels for the past ten years and prior to moving to Madison Charles was the executive chef for five years at the Embassy Suites in Denver, Colorado. He studied at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is located in the heart of downtown Madison, WI, approximately one block from Capitol Square, steps from the famous dining and shopping on State Street and six miles from Dane County Regional Airport.

The hotel boasts 350 guestrooms including 100 rooms in the luxurious Governors Club executive level, offering complimentary hors d’ overs, top-shelf cocktails and continental breakfast. The hotel has two restaurants, The Dayton Street Café (serving breakfast and lunch) and Ovations (serving dinner) and The Bar, featuring live jazz every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
